This website is requesting unusual rural EMS stories from any rural location across the United States and Canada. If you have had a situation that has occurred that certainly did not fit the normal treatment guidelines or transport guidelines found in the textbooks of any level of pre-hospital provider, I would love to get your story.
I am attempting to compile a list of possible stories for a book to be published about how RURAL EMS IS DIFFERENT. The normal textbook authors are always describing the treatment modalities and transport decisions of urban EMS systems. I'd like to present some of the challenges and special situations from the rural perspective.
This website can go in many different directions besides my goal of publishing a book. I would love to hear your ideas of how we can best move forward with this RURAL EMS IS DIFFERENT website.
